Here are some bold predictions for the 2019 Men’s Royal Rumble match.
10) Velveteen Dream Will Be The NXT Participant This Year
It seems like WWE puts in a talent or two from NXT in the Royal Rumble match. This was the case last year as Adam Cole and Andrade Almas both participated in the Rumble. I think that this trend will continue in 2019.
My pick for this year’s NXT entrant is Velveteen Dream. I think that this would be a really nice showcase for him. He will more than likely receive a massive pop from the crowd.
This won’t be an official call-up for Dream but it will be a nice introduction for him to main roster fans.
9) Andrade Almas Will Be This Year’s Iron Man
The Royal Rumble match traditionally has an Iron Man. This means the person who stays in the ring for the longest amount of time. Last year, Finn Balor was the Iron Man after lasting 57 minutes.
In 2019, I expect the Iron Man will be Andrade Almas. My gut says that 2019 will be a big year for him and this would be a great way to showcase him.
I don’t expect Almas to win, but I see him entering the match early and lasting for 45 minutes+.
8) Lars Sullivan Will Pile Up The Most Eliminations
Lars will likely be participating in the men’s Royal Rumble match this year. There have been rumors that something is going on with Lars right now but my gut says that he still ends up in this match.
If he does participate, I expect to see him pile up a ton of eliminations. WWE is going to want to establish him as a monster, so I could see him dominating in this match.
I don’t think that he is going to break any records, but I expect Lars to lead the match in eliminations after it is said and done.
