4th Of July RAW Suffers Big Ratings Drop But Not As Bad As Expected

The 4th Of July RAW was expected to be the lowest rated RAW of all-time. The 4th of July is of course a large American holiday where most families are not in front of their TV’s. This is why you see most shows skip the day or the week in order to avoid a large ratings drop. The WWE runs shows every week and are not given that option. The 4th of July RAW rating dropped, but not as bad as people (including me) expected.

The show averaged 2.66 million viewers which is down from last weeks 3.09 million average.

Hour 1 did 2.66 million viewers.

Hour 2 did 2.67 million viewers.

Hour 3 did 2.64 million viewers.

I honestly expected this show to do under 2 million. With the upcoming brand split and nothing really exciting planned it seemed like a forgone conclusion. I take this as a win from the WWE and a positive sign.

I also agree with people who say the TV ratings aren’t the only way to measure the popularity of the product.
