3) Becky Lynch Gets Screwed Over By The McMahon Family
Arguably the biggest match at Fastlane will be Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair. If Becky wins, she gets added to the RAW Women’s Championship match at Wrestlemania 35.
A theory that I have been working on is that Becky could get screwed over by the McMahon Family here. I am thinking that it could be in a similar way to the ‘Montreal Screwjob’ from so many years ago. Vince McMahon has the referee do a fast count on Becky, to make sure that she loses the match.
This would accomplish a few things. The first would be that it would continue the Becky-Vince storyline. The idea being that Becky is being held down by Vince because she isn’t his ideal Champion. It seems like this could be a modern day recreation of the rivalry between Vince and Stone Cold Steve Austin or the Authority vs Daniel Bryan. It would also piss fans off because they really want to see Becky in that RAW Women’s Title match.
Over the next few weeks, Becky would still find her way back into the RAW Women’s Championship match at Wrestlemania 35. This would just be a way to continue telling the story that Becky is being held down by WWE brass.
2) Ronda Rousey Helps Becky Lynch Win
Another theory that I have been working on is Ronda Rousey helping Becky Lynch win at Fastlane.
It is clear that Becky and Ronda hate each other’s guts right now. So why would Ronda help Becky? The answer is that Ronda wants Becky in that match at Wrestlemania. She wants to prove that she is better than both Becky and Charlotte. As a result, it is in her best interest to make sure that Becky wins at Fastlane.
My idea is that Ronda will attack Charlotte or something when the referee isn’t looking. This will allow Becky to pin Charlotte and get into the RAW Women’s Championship match. I think that fans would be surprised to see Ronda helping Becky. I also think that this would be a great finish for the match so Charlotte doesn’t have to take a clean loss before Wrestlemania.
This could be a fun swerve for the event. After Becky wins though, you can expect her to get attacked by Ronda to close the show.
