5 Things That WWE Shouldn’t Do At Wrestlemania 33

3) WWE Shouldn’t – Have Reigns Defeat The Undertaker (Without Turning Heel)

One of the most intriguing matches at Wrestlemania 33 is the match between Roman Reigns and the Undertaker.

Many fans are wondering what will happen. Will it be the Undertaker’s last match? Will Reigns be the second person to defeat the Deadman at Wrestlemania (after Brock Lesnar of course)? Will Reigns turn heel?

There are so many great possibilities in this match, especially if Reigns turns heel to retire the Undertaker.

The one thing that I don’t want to see (and I think a lot of fans will agree), is Roman winning the match clean.

With all the possibilities for Reigns, I think it would be a disappointment if he won the match clean. Especially if this isn’t the final match of the Undertaker. This is just going to make fans dislike Reigns even more.

I think WWE has a huge opportunity here to put some massive heat on Reigns. I would be disappointed if he doesn’t turn heel, but I will be more upset if he wins the match cleanly. This is probably selfish, considering that I really just want a Reigns heel turn and understand if you disagree.

Use the buttons below for the next thing that we think WWE shouldn’t do at Wrestlemania 33.

  1. Just a footnote on a statement u said about Shane technically he is as much a wrestler as Goldberg was when he beat Brock at survivor series if not a little less rusty now cause he fought undertaker more recently than Goldberg had had a match b4 survivor series. (Not saying Shane is the same league as Goldberg by no means) But Shane has been in the ring during the time when things got real (Attitude Era) and held his own, was he great?, in ways yes he was and what he lacks in power he more than makes up for in heart and acrobatics. So even if u don’t like the idea I think AJ is in for a fight and is pretty evenly matched as long as Shane don’t break himself with a missed jump.

  2. #3 is a lose/lose situation. Most of us assume that if reigns wins, he would turn heel. Problem is, we’re going to boo him regardless. So booing him for the right reasons doesn’t negate that he is not a fan favorite. They would be booing him Because the win/turn would be obvious, especially if its at the helm of taker and its his last match. Which will be just another reason to him. Not necessarily because he won an arbitrary match… But Becuase of who he beat simply because all of WWE’s efforts of the last 3 years to get him over have failed.

Granted, ‘doing the honors’ is a long time wrestling tradition. But this just has FU written all over it. WWE is trying to reverse engineer this guy to get him over. Once reigns turns and beats taker, the fans will start to boo him louder than ever and WWE officials will bloviate as if this is what was planned all along. When in fact, they wanted reigns to be the next john cena — but he’s not. So now WWE is going to do the ol’ switch-a-roo and pretend this was their plan the whole time.
