Chris Jericho Reveals If WWE Stars Know What Brand They Will Be Drafted To

Chris Jericho is one of the few guys on the WWE roster who has been a part of a WWE brand split before. In a recent interview for WWE’s Youtube channel, Jericho was asked some questions about the upcoming split. Here were the highlights:

If the WWE roster has any idea what brand they will be drafted to:

“Everybody sits in the back dressed in full gear sitting there waiting to hear where you’re going. It really does go that far, so I don’t know where I’ll be drafted, and neither does anyone else” (Source: WWE Youtube).

He also comments on the opportunities that the upcoming WWE draft and brand split will provide for talent to step up:

“If a three hour RAW has a pool of 50 guys to choose from, and now there’s only 25 guys to choose from, there better be some spotlights shown on some different people. It’s going to be a very exciting time, not just for the roster, but for the WWE Universe itself around the entire world because you will see new stars and new legends being made as a result of this brand extension”  (Source: WWE Youtube).

This interview came hours after the WWE revealed the WWE draft will happen on the first live Smackdown on July 19th!

I am personally  a huge fan of drafts and can’t wait to watch the upcoming one! I love imagining that Vince keeps everyone in the dark about what brand they will be going to and they find out live like the rest of us.

  1. Pretty darn sure Y2J HAS to say that they dont know which side they will be drafted on.

    • I believe that they don’t know until before the show starts. More than likely haven’t even wrote the booking for that show
