Chris Jericho Talks Roman Reigns’ Suspension, WWE’s Wellness Policy, Wrestlers Dying Young

Chris Jericho Talks Roman Reigns’ Suspension, WWE’s Wellness Policy, Wrestlers Dying Young.

News broke last week about Roman Reigns’ suspension from the WWE for violating the wellness policy. It shocked many fans and proved that the WWE’s wellness policy is legit, considering Reigns is one of the top guys in the company. In a recent interview with Josh Barnett of  For The Win, Chris Jericho addressed Roman Reigns’ suspension and how the wellness policy is doing wonders for wrestlers long-term health.

Here were some highlights of the interview:

Jericho says Roman Reigns’ suspension is an example of the WWE taking their wellness policy seriously. He also says Wrestlers aren’t dying as young anymore as a result of the stricter sanctions:

“Reigns is a great guy and a great worker. That he was suspended shows there is no BS or (messing) around when it comes to the policy. There are things on (the banned list) that are not anywhere but on the WWE list. You see the things that happened 10, 15 years in the past that don’t happen anymore. You don’t see guys dying young” (Source: For The Win).

Jericho also Reigns will come back from his suspension and go on to be a bigger star than he was before, saying:

“Reigns is a cool cat. He’ll own it, come back and be a bigger star in the future. I’m a huge Reigns fan and continue to be” (Source: For The Win).

Jericho also talks about Brock Lesnar’s debut, his new podcast network and more. You can check out the full interview here.

I am personally happy to know that no WWE star is exempt from their wellness policy, regardless of their stature in the company. This will only help wrestlers live long and healthy lives after their careers are over. In the past, substance abuse and other things were problems for wrestlers and we saw a lot of them die young. I think the WWE deserves some credit for implementing these policies and helping the wrestlers. Let us know what you think below in the comment section!
