Here Are The Smackdown Live Viewership Numbers Up Against The U.S Presidential Election

Smackdown this week wasn’t live, it was a taped show from Glasgow, Scotland. The show featured Becky Lynch vs Alexa Bliss for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. It also featured build for the upcoming Survivor Series PPV event. This included Shane McMahon being named as the 5th member of Team Smackdown LIVE.  How were the viewership numbers for this weeks show?

According to ShowBuzzDaily.com, this weeks Smackdown drew 1.921 million viewers. This is down from last weeks Smackdown, that drew 2.187 million viewers. This is the lowest number since the brand split several months ago.

The show had massive competition with the United States Presidential election going on at the same time. I actually predicted this number to be a lot worse than it turned out to be, which is probably good news for WWE. The election coverage received a high majority of views last night, which was completely expected.

In comparison, RAW this week drew 2.767 million viewers.
