Roman Reigns is scheduled to face Kevin Owens this Sunday at the Royal Rumble. This will be a no-disqualification match for the WWE Universal Championship. Chris Jericho will be locked inside of a shark cage above the ring, preventing him from interfering in the match.

Here are some rumors circulating about the plans for Roman Reigns after the Royal Rumble.
WrestlingInc.com is reporting that Reigns is being advertised for WWE live events on the road to Wrestlemania. His opponent in these advertisements is Braun Strowman.
This could indicate that we are in store for a Reigns and Strowman feud over the next few months, leading into a match at Wrestlemania 33.
If this rumor turns out to be true, than we are in store for a few possibilities at the Royal Rumble:
1) Reigns wins the WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens. Braun Strowman wins the Royal Rumble match. They face off at Wrestlemania.
2) Strowman costs Reigns the Universal Title, Reigns costs Strowman the Rumble match.

Our take: Strowman vs Reigns is a match that has been rumored for several months now. The idea is that Vince thinks that fans will side with Reigns as he takes on the monster. I am not sure how fans will react to this match, especially if it is for the Universal Title. It will be interesting to see what happens on Sunday. There have also been some rumblings about the Undertaker facing Reigns but nothing concrete.
