Daniel Bryan Isn’t Closing The Door On Wrestling Again Or A In-Ring Payoff Against The Miz

Daniel Bryan was recently interviewed by WWE Gorilla Position. He spoke on a wide variety of topics about his wrestling past and present. One of the highlights of the interview was when Daniel Bryan was asked if he would be returning to the ring for another match.

Bryan was asked if he will ever wrestle again:

“So, if you were to ask the WWE, the answer would be ‘no.'”

He says that you would think that there would be an in-ring payoff between him and the Miz based on how they have booked it but that doesn’t look like it will be the case.

“As far as I know, no. The one thing about [WWE] and any form of entertainment or fighting or sport is ‘never say never’. I keep working on the doctor stand point of it, I was like ok, ‘is there anything more I can do to get cleared?’ And right now I’ve done everything I can possibly do”

Our take: Looks like Daniel isn’t ready to close the door on wrestling again. A match between him and the Miz would be incredible based on how WWE has built their feud up over the past year. Such a shame that we likely won’t get an in-ring payoff.

  1. vince will continue the tease to keep the fans on edge. vince doesn’t give a sh%# about the match… he just loves dangling that carrot because he knows a majority of his product is garbage and any hope of a DB return will keep fans intrigued.

I have no doubt in my mind that DB could probably return to wrestling… but vince isn’t interested in DB as a top guy and having to bend to the fans demands. so vince feels eliminating DB from the equation all together solves that problem.

some people will read this and say – “oh that’s BS… vince just wants what’s best for business, and if that’s DB, what does he care? … DB is money.”

welp… than why is reigns still being pushed as the top guy when no one else seemingly give s shi%?
because vince likes reigns. period. vince knows styles is more over. vince knows seth is more over. vince knows ambrose is more popular…. he doesn’t care. WWE is vince’s toy. he does what he wants w/ his toys.

to bring this back around to DB, vince never wanted DB… he just to the wave until he felt he had a justifiable reason to move on from DB. the injury allowed for vince to get in front of the situation and spin the narratives of concussions, (which is a hot button topic) neck/spine injuries, etc… he could exploit that and get the fans on his side that retirement is what’s best for DB and if you truly love him, you’ll agree w/ this sentiment. and that’s all vince did — he spun the narrative to get the “vanilla midget” off his TV.
