Jack Swagger recently called into the Beyond the Fight podcast hosted by MMA fighter: Chael Sonnen to drop some big time news. Earlier this week he asked for and was granted his release from the WWE. This comes after months of not appearing on WWE TV. Jack Swagger released.

Swagger is a former World Champion in WWE and this might come as a surprise to some. Swagger hasn’t been used in a long time on WWE TV, with his last appearance being a loss to Baron Corbin on the October 18th episode of Smackdown Live.

Swagger would go on to say that him and WWE were very far apart during contract negotiations. He says that WWE didn’t value him at what he thought he was worth and didn’t give him an opportunity to make enough money for his family. As a result, he asked for his release.
We wish him the best of luck in the next step of his journey. It is shame that WWE didn’t use him as he was a talented guy.
