Shinsuke Nakamura made his debut on the Smackdown Live after Wrestlemania 33. As soon as Nakamura made his entrance (with a live violinist I might add) it was clear that he is something special. He has become one of the biggest stars on WWE’s main roster.

He already has the fans talking, regardless of the fact that he hasn’t wrestled a match (on television) yet.
So what is the plan for Nakamura? Fans have seen him get involved with Dolph Ziggler over the past few weeks and it is clear that Ziggler will be his first opponent. But when will they wrestle?
According to a report from Billi Bhatti of Sportskeeda, fans won’t see Nakamura wrestle until the Backlash PPV event later on in May.
Why would they wait so long? According to the report, the idea is that WWE wants to treat Nakamura like the big deal that he is. Backlash takes place in Chicago, where Nakamura is almost guaranteed to get an incredible reaction. Only having him wrestle once in a while, confirms that he is something special in the eyes of the audience.
Backlash is still a long time away, but with some good booking, WWE can keep fans interested in Nakamura without having him wrestle on a weekly basis.

Ziggler is also a great wrestler and will be able to put on a great match with Nakamura to showcase his talent. The two have been working dark matches over the past few weeks after Smackdown in order to build some chemistry.
Fans of Nakamura have waited this long to see him on the main roster, we can wait a few more weeks for a special moment!
