Zack Ryder Provides An Injury Update

Zack Ryder was injured on the December 13th episode of Smackdown Live. Him and his tag team partner: Mojo Rawley, became number one contenders for the Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships after Ryder won the battle royal for the team.

After the match it was clear that Ryder was in a lot of pain. It turned out to be knee injury that required surgery.

Ryder was expected to be back in the ring anywhere from 4 to 9 months depending on his recovery. It appears as if he is on the early side of that number. Ryder took to Twitter to provide fans with an injury update.

He got back into the ring for the first time on Thursday and ran the ropes:

While this doesn’t give us an exact time that we should expect to see him back, it is a positive sign that it could be fairly soon. Knee injuries are tricky and we will have to wait and see how he progresses over the next few weeks. We will let you know if we find out any more on his return.
