We are just days away from what has become one of the more popular PPV events every year. The Money in the Bank PPV has taken the place of the old King of the Ring PPV as the PPV that most people say is the fifth biggest of the year. This year a lot of people believed this event would be a split brand event and honestly I’m glad it’s not and the reason why is look at the card. Also it looks like they are following the NXT model yet again this event with lower match quantity with a higher match quality potential.

If you haven’t seen I put out an offer on my Twitter @awesomephinatic if we can get to 1,000 followers and help share comment and like the posts I put out I will buy any shirt on WWESHOP.com and mail it to one of my followers. Right now we have five announced matches on the card and I assume we will likely have at least one more match announced possibly for the preshow.
Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Natayla vs. Tamina vs. Carmella
Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match:
I believe the show opens with the first ever Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. I would assume with only five matches being announced for the show that this ladder match gets over thirty minutes. Let’s break down the competitors shall we and determine the winner and the inaugural Ms. Money in the Bank. In the no chance to win pile there is but one superstar and that would be Tamina. To me she is the least invested in and her character is probably the weakest out of the five women. While she should have a few opportunities to shine during the match I don’t believe she has a shot at winning.
Then we have the “so you’re saying there’s a chance” group. This group would include Charlotte and Becky Lynch. While I could see Charlotte winning this only because it’s the first ever and they may want to be able to reference back to Charlotte being the first to win the briefcase she simply doesn’t need it. Becky Lynch also is in the same boat, while she would likely get the biggest pop of all the superstars she simply doesn’t need it. This briefcase in my estimation will be used as the ultimate opportunity piece on Smackdown Live which is fitting as it’s the “land of opportunity. Which leads me to the final two my two favorites to actually win this thing and that would be Natayla and Carmella.
Sometimes the WWE all of a sudden makes awesome decisions and gives titles and briefcases to long-term superstars who maybe has had the most accolades but has certainly helped the company. I could 100% see Natayla as the one who walks out of Money in the Bank with the briefcase as a nod from the company to her saying “thank you now go show the world how great you are”. However my official pick for this match will be Carmella and it’s strictly because of the numbers advantage. The way I see it is the ending sequence will be something like Becky Lynch is climbing the ladder to win and as the crowd begins cheering to eruption James Ellsworth comes in and pushes the ladder over then stands it back up and helps Carmella climb the ladder and become the first Ms. Money in the Bank.
Winner: Carmella
The Usos (c) vs. The New Day
WWE Smackdown Tag Team Title Match:
This Sunday we will have what is likely the two best tag teams of the last five years bringing back an old rivalry which will sure not disappoint. Likely one of the ladder matches will steal the show however the dark horse match of the night is certainly this match. These two teams are fantastic in the ring and have really good chemistry.
Also as stated above this match should get a ton of time due to the lack of matches on the card aka the NXT Takeover format. That is not a dig what-so-ever that is actually a nod at WWE who never gets credit for listening to the fans, actually listening to the fans. The New Day is back to being one of the hottest segments on the show every week and with that said I believe they take the titles off of The Usos.
Right now you have the Colons, Usos and whatever heel team attacked The Fashion Police on Smackdown Live. My guess is the mystery attackers as I said in my RawView: Smackdown Live edition it should be a heel American Alpha. New Day picks up the win here and is on a collision course at Summerslam with American Alpha. BOOK IT!
Winners and new champions: The New Day

I don’t agree with the Becky doesn’t need it. I think it’s her last chance to win something. After the Womens Tournament & other NXT Call Ups her time is over and she will have the Natalya Standing.
