Rumors have been flying for the past few weeks about a potential UFC fight between Brock Lesnar and Jon Jones. There were also some rumblings that Jon Jones is interested in a WWE payday and could work with the WWE in some capacity. Naturally, it was assumed by some fans that Jones might be in attendance of Summerslam, where Brock defends his WWE Universal Title.

Jones played into the rumors on Twitter, saying: “It’s crossed my mind” when asked if he would be sitting ringside at Summerslam.
According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE will not be inviting Jon Jones to sit at ringside. This is because they feel it would detract from the Fatal 4-way match between Brock, Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman.
My sources tell me WWE isn’t planning to invite Jon Jones to sit ringside at SummerSlam. Feels it would detract from the match.

Satin also gave some more thoughts on why WWE wouldn’t want to invite him:
The 4-way is what they’re selling. They make nothing from Jones/Brock and have no vested interest in promoting Brock’s potential leverage.

Jones would be free to purchase his own ticket at ringside if he wanted but it seems like WWE won’t be playing into the buzz.
Let us know what you think in the comment section below. Would Jones appearing at Summerslam take away from the match?
