15 Things That We Learned From Smackdown Live (September 12, 2017)

1) Kevin Owens Found A Way To Keep His Rivalry With Sami Zayn Going

This weeks episode of Smackdown Live kicked off with Kevin Owens. He welcomed the crowd to the ‘Kevin Owens Show’. This of course came a week after he was attacked by Shane McMahon and threatened to sue WWE.

Owens said that his first move after suing WWE will be to fire Sami Zayn! These two are going to feud with one another forever and I love it:

2) Daniel Bryan Made A Fat Joke

During the opening segment, Kevin Owens was eventually interrupted by General Manager: Daniel Bryan. The two went back and forth on the mic. This included Kevin Owens telling Bryan that he was going to be the new janitor of Smackdown when he is in charge.

Bryan responded by saying that he is not opposed to hard work and manuel labor. He says that Owens should probably try it. You can watch the segment here:

3) AJ Styles Successful Retained His Title

Smackdown Live featured a United States Championship match. AJ Styles defended his title against Tye Dillinger. It looked at one point like Dillinger was going to steal the victory, but the ‘Perfect 10’ came up short.

AJ was able to lock-in the calf crusher, forcing Dillinger to tap out. Styles retained his title!
