One of the selling points of Survivor Series this year will be the Men’s elimination match between RAW and Smackdown. The match is loaded with talent: Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Triple H make up team RAW. Shane McMahon, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and John Cena make up Team Smackdown Live.

The problem that a lot of fans have is that there are no real stakes involved in this match. Some feel like brand supremacy isn’t enough and there should be something more to fight for.
Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), had an interesting idea to add some stakes to the traditional Survivor Series elimination match. (Reminder: this is only an idea).
Alvarez suggests that the winning team guarantees themselves numbers 16-30 in the Royal Rumble match. For example, if RAW wins at Survivor Series, RAW stars would have the advantage in the Rumble for being the final 15 spots. The losing side would get the first 15 spots in the Rumble match, making it more difficult for them to win.
The idea would be that it adds some motivation for the stars of RAW and Smackdown Live in the elimination match.
Interested to hear what people think. Do you think the elimination match needs some extra stakes attached to it? If you disagree with the idea from Alvarez, what would you suggest? Let us know in the comment section below.
