Neville hasn’t been seen on WWE television since back in October. There have been a lot of rumors over the past few months about his status, but he still hasn’t returned to the fold. The latest buzz was that Neville would be sitting out until his contract expires.

We have an update on Neville’s status with WWE.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that WWE has frozen Neville’s contract instead of letting it expire. Neville also returned to the United Kingdom a while back according to the report.
The report cites that WWE has frozen contracts in the past, specifically Rey Mysterio and Daniel Bryan. These were due to injury though. Bryan being used as Smackdown Live General Manager helps him fulfill his “service time” for his contract.

So what does this mean? In the case of Neville, it seems like he will have to fulfill the rest of his contract before leaving the company. That would be unless they reach an agreement first.
Will be interesting to see what happens but looks like he isn’t close to returning anytime soon.
