Speculation On The U.S Title Matches At Fastlane And Wrestlemania 34

Bobby Roode defeated Rusev this past week on Smackdown Live to retain the United States Championship. After the match, both Roode and Rusev were hit with RKO’s from Randy Orton.

This has led to some speculation about what the U.S Title match will be at Fastlane. We thought that we would share our own speculation on what will happen at not only Fastlane but Wrestlemania 34.

The popular theory going around from fans is that it will be Roode vs Orton for the Title at Fastlane. Myself personally, I don’t see it happening just yet.

I think that Roode vs Orton would be a really fun feud for Wrestlemania and that looks like where we are heading (Humble-brag, I predicted this a few months ago in my Wrestlemania 34 match predictions article). I don’t think WWE will give away that match at Fastlane. They will instead add Rusev to make it a triple threat. Even though he lost to Roode this week, Rusev was RKO’d by Orton which tells us that he will likely still be involved in this feud.

Our guess is that Rusev vs Roode vs Orton happens at Fastlane. This branches off to Orton vs Roode for the Title at Wrestlemania 34.
