News broke this week that Shane McMahon had recently been hospitalized. According to a recent report, this is legitimate and not part of Shane’s storyline with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. This puts the expected match: Daniel Bryan and Shane vs Owens and Zayn at Wrestlemania 34 in serious doubt. Here are some of the best options to replace Shane as Bryan’s tag team partner:

Samoa Joe
- I suggested Joe as a potential partner for Braun Strowman at Wrestlemania. I also think it would be really cool to see Joe team with Daniel Bryan. It wouldn’t make sense storyline wise but would be a fun match. Joe is rumored to be close to returning.
Dolph Ziggler
- Dolph interacted with Bryan on Smackdown last week and teased a future match. Maybe he decides to align with Bryan since he doesn’t have a Wrestlemania match at the moment?
Vince McMahon
- Storyline wise, this would probably be the best option. Vince replaces his son in the match. He also has a history with Owens already based on the attack several months ago. Daniel Bryan could do most of the work in the ring. Vince is 72 years old though so probably not a good idea for him to wrestle.
Neville
- Another amazing situation for WWE to get Neville out of the Cruiserweight division (I previously suggested him as a partner for Braun). Could you imagine Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs Daniel Bryan and Neville?

Kane
- Team ‘Hell No’ gets together for one last time. Kane attacked Bryan backstage several months ago so I am not sure how you would work around that.
Chris Jericho
- Jericho has a concert on the day of Wrestlemania so seems unlikely. Would be a fun replacement for Shane though based on his history with Owens.
Rusev
- Make it a Happy Rusev Day for all! Get Rusev on the main card of Wrestlemania!
Bobby Lashley
- Could be a great way to re-introduce him. He is rumored to be returning to WWE soon.
Dean Ambrose
- I have seen some fans speculate about Dean Ambrose returning. This would depend on if he is ready to go for Wrestlemania. Could be fun though.
