Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) How WWE Originally Intended To Use AJ Styles On RAW
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE originally had plans to use AJ Styles to put over several babyfaces on RAW. These plans didn’t end up happening before Styles was moved over to Smackdown.
Here is what Meltzer said:
“AJ was there to make new babyfaces, that was what he was there for, How many new babyfaces did he make? None. He didn’t even lose on the way out. Well, he lost to The Undertaker but that didn’t but that does nobody any good.”
“My point is that every one of these guys from Ricochet to Cedric Alexander to Humberto Carrillo – every single one of them was supposed to be in a big feud with AJ where they would get over and they would win the title and not one of them did.”
My Take:
- WWE can now use Styles to put over the talent on Smackdown. I would love to see Styles vs Drew Gulak, Cesaro, Mustafa Ali, and more.
4) Seth Rollins Teases A New Addition To His Faction
During his appearance on WWE Backstage, Seth Rollins teased a new member joining his faction. This faction currently includes Seth, Murphy, and Austin Theory.
Here is what Seth said:
“I’ve always got my eyes on somebody. I don’t want to disclose too much. There is somebody out there that is very close to me that would make a great addition right now. We’ll see how things pan out.”
My Take:
- It will be interesting to see what happens. The only person I can think of is Cesaro because I know that him and Seth are close buddies. Cesaro is on Smackdown but would be a great addition to the group.
