AJ Styles and Low Ki faced off at Ring of Honor’s A Night of Appreciation event back in 2002.
Low Ki ended up winning the match with a roll-up.
AJ Styles vs Psicosis vs. Low-Ki vs. Jerry Lynn
Event: TNA Weekly PPV #2 (2002) | Rating: 4.5 stars
This was a Double Elimination, Four Corners Match for the X-Division Championship. This meant that you had to get pinned twice (throughout the match) in order to be eliminated.
Styles ended up winning after last eliminating Jerry Lynn.
Jerry Lynn vs AJ Styles vs Low Ki
Event: TNA Weekly PPV #8 (2002) | Rating: 4.5 stars
AJ Styles, Low Ki, and Jerry Lynn faced off for the X-Division Championship back in 2002.
Low Ki ended up winning the match and the Title after pinning Jerry Lynn.
AJ Styles vs Chris Sabin vs Petey Williams
Event: TNA Final Resolution (2005) | Rating: 4.5 stars
AJ Styles faced Chris Sabin and Petey Williams at TNA’s Final Resolution PPV back in 2005. This was an Ultimate X-match for the TNA X-Division Championship.
Styles ended up winning the match and Title after around 20 minutes.
Christopher Daniels vs Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles
Event: TNA Turning Point (2009) | Rating: 4.5 stars
AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Samoa Joe faced off in the main event of TNA’s Turning Point event in 2009. This was for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Styles ended up retaining the Title.
This is NOT the only time that you will see these three on this list together (but more on that later).
AJ Styles vs Kazuchika Okada
Event: NJPW Return to Yokohama Arena (2014) | Rating: 4.5 stars
AJ Styles and Kazuchika Okada faced off in the main event of NJPW’s Return to Yokohama Arena event in 2014. This was for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
Styles hit the ‘Styles Clash’ after about 26 minutes to retain the Title.

Event: NJPW G1 Climax – Day 1 (2014) | Rating: 4.5 stars
Kazuchika Okada and AJ Styles faced off on the first day of the 2014 G1 Climax tournament. They ended up putting on a really good match.
Okada would go on to win after hitting the Rainmaker for the 3-count.
AJ Styles vs Tetsuya Naito
Event: NJPW G1 Climax – Day 4 (2014) | Rating: 4.5 stars
AJ Styles and Tetsuya Naito faced off on Day 4 of the 2014 G1 Climax tournament. The match went on for about 15 minutes and was a lot of fun.
Naito picked up the win after hitting the Stardust Press for the pinfall.
AJ Styles vs Hiroshi Tanahashi

AJ Styles and Hiroshi Tanahashi faced off in the main event of NJPW’s King of Pro-Wrestling event in 2014. This was for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
Tanahashi would pick up the win after 27 minutes to become the new IWGP Heavyweight Champion.
Bullet Club (AJ Styles, Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson) vs ROH All-Stars (Hanson, Jay Briscoe, Mark Briscoe, Ray Rowe, and Roderick Strong)
Event: ROH/NJPW Global Wars (2015) | Rating: 4.5 stars
Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling combined in 2015 for a two-night, Global Wars event. The main event of Night 1 was the Bullet Club vs the Ring of Honor All-Stars.
The ROH All-Stars ended up picking up the win in what was a fun 10-man tag team match.
AJ Styles vs Kazuchika Okada
Event: NJPW King Of Pro-Wrestling (2015) | Rating: 4.5 stars
AJ Styles and Kazuchika Okada faced off in the main event of NJPW’s King of Pro-Wrestling event in 2015. This was for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
Okada retained the title after a 30-minute battle with Styles.
Roman Reigns vs AJ Styles
Event: WWE Extreme Rules (2016) | Rating: 4.5 stars
Roman Reigns and AJ Styles faced off in the main event of the 2016 Extreme Rules PPV event. This was an Extreme Rules match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Reigns speared Styles in mid-air while he was attempting the Phenomenal Forearm for the win. As a result, Reigns retained the Title. After the match, Seth Rollins made his surprise return and attacked Reigns.
AJ Styles vs John Cena
Event: Summerslam (2016) | Rating: 4.5 stars
AJ Styles faced off against John Cena at the 2016 edition of Summerslam. The match went for over 20 minutes and ended up being really good. Styles pinned Cena after landing a second Phenomenal Forearm.
This won the award for best match of 2016 from Pro Wrestling Illustrated.
Team SmackDown (AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton, and Shane McMahon) vs Team Raw (Braun Strowman, Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins)
Event: WWE Survivor Series (2016) | Rating: 4.5 stars
AJ Styles was a member of Team Smackdown at the 2016 edition of Survivor Series. They took on Team RAW in a 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match.
Styles ended up getting eliminated from the match but his team still went on to win.
Dean Ambrose vs AJ Styles
Event: WWE TLC (2016) | Rating: 4.5 stars
AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose faced off in the main event of the TLC PPV in 2016. This was a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the WWE World Championship.
Styles ended up retaining the Title after some help from James Ellsworth, who pushed Ambrose off the ladder onto some tables.
AJ Styles vs Bray Wyatt vs Baron Corbin vs Dean Ambrose vs John Cena vs The Miz

AJ Styles took part in the main event of the 2017 Elimination Chamber PPV. This was an Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship.
Bray Wyatt last eliminated Styles to win the Title.

AJ Styles took part in the main event of the 2017 Money in the Bank PPV. He was involved in the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
The highlight of the match was the show-down between AJ and Shinsuke Nakamura. Baron Corbin would go on to win though.

AJ Styles took part in the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship in 2019. This match also included Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, and Kofi Kingston.
Daniel Bryan won the match to retain his Title.
AJ Styles vs Seth Rollins
Event: WWE Money In The Bank (2019) | Rating: 4.5 Stars
AJ Styles and Seth Rollins faced off at Money in the Bank for the Universal Championship. This was a dream match for many fans and it lived up to the expectations.
Rollins went on to win after a really good match. They shook hands in the middle of the ring as a sign of respect after the match.

Styles and Daniels faced off in a 30-minute Iron Man match at TNA’s Against All Odds event in 2005. Styles would win 2 falls to 1 to retain his X-division Title.
One of the most memorable TNA matches for Styles.
AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe
Event: TNA Turning Point (2005) | Rating: 4.75 stars
AJ Styles and Samoa Joe faced off at TNA’s Turning Point event in 2005. They would put on a really fun match. Joe locked Styles into the coquina clutch where he would pass out. As a result, Joe won the match and the Title.
Styles and Joe showed off their great chemistry in this one.
AJ Styles vs Minoru Suzuki
Event: NJPW G1 Climax 24 – Day 7 (2014) | Rating: 4.75 stars
On Day 7 of the 2014 G1 Climax, AJ Styles and Minoru Suzuki put on a really great match. This ended up winning the match of the year award in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter for 2014 (voted on by fans).
Meltzer himself gave it 4.75 stars.
AJ Styles vs Kota Ibushi
Event: NJPW Invasion Attack (2015) | Rating: 4.75 stars
AJ Styles defended his IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Kota Ibushi at NJPW’s Invasion Attack event in 2015.
Kenny Omega ended up providing a slight distraction on Ibushi, leading to Styles getting the win with the ‘Styles Clash’.
Bullet Club (AJ Styles and the Young Bucks) vs Chaos (Beretta, Kazuchika Okada, and Rocky Romero)
Event: ROH/NJPW Global Wars (2015) | Rating: 4.75 stars
The main event of night 2 of Global Wars 2015 was a clash between Chaos and the Bullet Club. This was a very good 6-man tag team match with a lot action.
Styles and the Young Bucks ended up picking up the win.
AJ Styles vs Kazuchika Okada
Event: NJPW Dominion (2015) | Rating: 4.75 stars
The main event of Dominion in 2015 was Styles vs Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Okada and Styles put on a really good match and proved why they are two of the best wrestlers in the World.
Meltzer gave it 4.75 stars but some would argue that it should be higher.
AJ Styles vs Hiroshi Tanahashi
Event: NJPW G1 Climax 25 – Day 17 (2015) | Rating: 4.75 stars
AJ Styles and Hiroshi Tanahashi faced off on Day 17 of the 2015 G1 Climax tournament.
Tanahashi won after a really fun match.
AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura
Event: Wrestle Kingdom 10 (2016)| Rating: 4.75 stars
AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura put on a great match at Wrestle Kingdom 10. This was for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship. Nakamura would end up winning the match but the two showed respect for one another with a fist bump after the match.
This would turn out to be the last match for Styles in NJPW before jumping over to WWE. Not a bad match to leave on.
AJ Styles vs John Cena
Event: Royal Rumble (2017) | Rating: 4.75 stars
AJ Styles faced off against John Cena at the 2017 Royal Rumble. Styles and Cena would put on a really fun match. Cena would win the match and tie the World Championship record of Ric Flair.
Meltzer liked it enough to give it 4.75 stars out of 5.
AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan
Event: TLC (2018) | Rating: 4.75 stars
AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan faced off for the WWE Championship at the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs PPV in 2018.
This was a really good match between two of the best wrestlers in the company. Bryan picked up the win to retain his Title.
Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles
Event: WWE Smackdown (June 12th, 2020) | Rating: 4.75 Stars
AJ Styles faced off against Daniel Bryan in the finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament. This came on the June 12th, 2020 episode of Smackdown.
This turned out to be a fantastic match. Styles ended up winning to become the new Intercontinental Champion.

Event: TNA Unbreakable (2005) | Rating: 5 stars
AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Christopher Daniels faced off in a triple threat match at TNA’s Unbreakable event in 2005. This was a WILD match with a lot of fun moments. Talk about three wrestlers making a name for themselves.
This is the highest-rated match of AJ’s career according to Meltzer. It is also the only TNA match to ever receive 5 stars.
