AJ Styles Shares His Thoughts On Being In A Non-Title Match At Wrestlemania 33

AJ Styles was recently a guest on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast. He spoke on a wide variety of topics from his WWE career. One of the most interesting parts of the interview was when he was asked his thoughts on taking part in a non-title match at Wrestlemania 33.

AJ is likely going to be facing Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania. This is a match that has drawn the ire of AJ Styles fans who want him to be in the ring with another amazing technical wrestler, especially after the year that he has had.

Here is what Styles said about being in a non-title match at the event:

“I look forward to WrestleMania. You have to understand, this was something I never thought I would have the opportunity to be in. I remember watching the WWE Network and thinking wow, I am never going to be able to be part of a WrestleMania. I tried to play the game that it’s not really a big deal to me, but it kind of is”

He continued:

“It’s WrestleMania, it’s the biggest thing going on in favor of what we do, so that was a big deal, so to be at WrestleMania, especially with all the talent we have and to be there. Think about how many championship matches we have, there is no way we will be able to present them at WrestleMania—at least on the main show, so to be part of WrestleMania would be a big deal to me”

Side note: AJ seems like an incredibly humble guy and a great dude. Have to be happy for all the success that he has had and there is no doubt that he will knock the match with Shane out of the park like he always seems to do.
