The Ascension have had a rocky start to their WWE main roster careers. The tag team had a solid run in NXT, even winning the NXT Tag Team Championships. When they were called up to the main roster in late 2014, their look was tweaked and they immediately started to compare themselves to tag teams of the past like the Road Warriors and Demolition.

This backfired on them as it made them look like a cheap knockoff of some of the best tag teams from WWE’s past. They have been used very little on WWE TV over the past year. When they do appear, it is usually in a losing effort. Could the tag team be getting a new look?

Could be an interesting change-up for the team. They could certainly use a re-brand as their run has been lackluster so far. WWE did them no favors by comparing them to other teams so early in their career. They need to tweak something if they want to move up the card.
