August 29th RAW Viewership Numbers: How Many People Were Watching KO Win The Title

The August 29th RAW was one of the most memorable in recent history. The overall show was mediocre but featured an incredible ending that still has people talking. Kevin Owens defeated Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Big Cass to become the new WWE Universal Champion. Triple H returned to WWE TV to betray Rollins and help Owens pick up the win.

How was the August 29th RAW viewership???

According to WrestlingInc.com, the viewership numbers were solid! The show did an average of 3.413 million viewers. This is up from last weeks 3.315 million, post-Summerslam edition of RAW.

Here is the hours breakdown for the August 29th RAW:

  • Hour 1 – 3.392 million viewers.
  • Hour 2 – 3.438 million viewers.
  • Hour 3 – 3.409 million viewers.

Obviously this is good news for the WWE. They were strategic and kept the title match until the very end which kept their viewers for the majority of the show. We have seen a recent trend of the third hour dipping significantly so this is a positive sign. It will be interesting to see how many people watch the next week to see the fallout from the incredible ending. I have to imagine the viewership will increase even more.

The video of main event on WWE’s Youtube page already has over 1.2 million views as of writing this..
