The August 8th RAW featured Smackdown LIVE general manager Daniel Bryan appearing on the show. The show was decent but mostly forgettable. It had some tough competition, going head to head against the Olympic Games from Rio. It appears as if the Olympics had a big impact on this weeks viewership numbers.

The August 8th RAW averaged 2.911 million viewers for the night. This is a big 12% drop from last weeks RAW that averaged 3.314 million viewers.
The hour breakdown for the August 8th RAW:
- Hour 1- 2.95 million viewers.
- Hour 2 – 2.809 million viewers.
- Hour 3 – 2.974 million viewers.
The show had some tough competition, going against the 2016 Olympics from Rio which explains the drop. Maybe the WWE mailed it in a bit this week knowing that they would be against steep competition? The WWE can’t afford another poor viewership night next week as they try to sell fans on Summerslam, which is less than 2 weeks away.
