Backstage News On How Brock Lesnar Feels About Working With Finn Balor

A big surprise came this week on Monday Night RAW. Brock Lesnar will now be facing Finn Balor at the Royal Rumble for the Universal Championship.

Lesnar was originally planned to face Braun Strowman at the event. Strowman was pulled from the match after destroying Vince McMahon’s limo. Balor defeated John Cena, Drew McIntyre, and Baron Corbin to earn the match against Brock.

So how does Brock feel about working with Finn?

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), Brock has wanted to work with Balor since last year. They were originally going to face off at the 2018 Rumble but the plans were scrapped after Vince didn’t think that Balor was over enough. Brock ended up working against Kane and Braun Strowman instead.

Brock reportedly prefers working with smaller Superstars like Balor, AJ Styles, and Daniel Bryan.

My Take: This is awesome news for fans of Balor. The worry for most Brock matches is if he will give 100% effort. When he does, he can put on some classic matches. Hopefully, this report is true and the match with Balor is a lot of fun. It is encouraging that he wants to face Balor.
