WWE Super Show-Down will feature a 6-Woman tag team match. Ronda Rousey and the Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie Bella), will be facing off against the Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan).
We have some backstage news to pass your way about the match. This comes via Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here).
The big question over the past several days has been if Liv Morgan will be cleared to compete at the event. This comes after she suffered a concussion on RAW a few weeks ago. According to Meltzer, Liv has been fully cleared to return to the ring. She didn’t do anything physical on Monday Night RAW this week but she will be wrestling on Saturday.
Meltzer adds that this match is supposed to set up the angle for the main event of the upcoming Evolution event. That would be Ronda Rousey vs Nikki Bella for the RAW Women’s Championship.
Ronda vs Nikki was the plan as of a few weeks ago and there has been nothing to indicate that this has changed.
In my own predictions for Super Show-Down, I wrote that I think Nikki will attack Ronda after the match on Saturday. This would be because she is jealous of the spotlight that Ronda has gotten since joining WWE. We will have to wait and see if that ends up happening. The only other option based on current feuds would be against Ruby Riott and WWE did that match already on RAW. I think Nikki vs Ronda is a lock.
