Backstage News On Who Came Up With The ‘Firefly Fun House Match’ At Wrestlemania 36

Probably the most talked about part of day two of Wrestlemania 36 was the ‘Firefly Fun House match’ between John Cena and Bray Wyatt. This was a wild segment that saw Cena and Wyatt take the form of multiple characters.

We have some backstage news to pass your way about who was responsible for putting together the segment.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Bruce Prichard, Bray Wyatt, and John Cena were the three people who were most responsible for the ‘Firefly Fun House match’.

The match was initially put together by Prichard and Wyatt. Cena ended up coming in and making some suggestions on things that they should change. These changes from Cena were said to have been “for the better” according to Meltzer and it improved the segment as a whole.

It was also reported recently that the segment was produced by the WWE crew in Stamford, Connecticut. All of the props that were used came from the warehouse near WWE headquarters.

It was also reported that Vince McMahon loved the segment when he first saw it.
