Backstage News On Two Major Pushes Planned For WWE Stars

Many fans know that WWE has been pushing the heck out of Braun Strowman over the past few weeks. Since Wrestlemania 33, Strowman has been built up like a monster. This includes taking out a good chunk of the RAW roster backstage over the past few weeks.

The April 17th edition of Monday Night RAW was basically the ‘Braun Strowman’ show, with the company building the show around him and his antics. It is clear that the company has big plans for him in the near future.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), Strowman is planned for a massive push on RAW over the next year. This one should come as no surprise to WWE fans based on how he has been booked lately.

What might shock you is that there is reportedly plans for a Smackdown star to receive an even bigger push than Strowman in the future. According to Meltzer, WWE officials are higher on Baron Corbin as a main event talent than they are Strowman. This is saying something, considering how Strowman has been presented so far to the WWE audience.

The push for Corbin will be several months from now as WWE continue to build him up slowly. The belief is that Corbin will be a main event player in WWE for years to come. Expect to see Corbin and Strowman on top of WWE for the next several years, with plenty of title reigns between them.

  1. Yes, big fan of both guys. Maybe Vinny Mac has actually learned something from pushing people way too fast and hard…ahem, Roman Reigns. The most successful over the long term have had slower pushes.
