6) An Emotional Embrace
Triple H & The Undertaker After Their Match At Wrestlemania 27:
The Undertaker and Triple H put on one heck of a match at Wrestlemania 27. In the backstage area after it was finished, they embraced in an emotional moment.
This was depicted in an episode of Wrestlemania Rewind on the WWE Network. Triple H explained that they both broke down after the match because they were so emotional. They both didn’t know if they could still wrestle on a high level and had some doubts heading into the match.
They both proved themselves wrong.
5) A Heavy Burden
Roman Reigns Backstage After Defeating The Undertaker 33:
After Roman Reigns defeated the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 33, cameras caught him backstage reflecting on the match.
In an interview with ESPN after the match, Reigns spoke about how he was feeling:
“It’s bittersweet. It almost feels like a loss, you know what I mean? Because, I’ve said this for the past three or four weeks, I’ve got nothing but respect for the Undertaker. If you’ve been a part of this business, and you know, everybody’s got respect for that man. But at the end of the day you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. As a young man, as a family man, as a provider, I’ve got to go out there and fight for mine, and that’s what I did tonight”
The photo depicts exactly what Reigns said. He had a job to do and he did it.
The Undertaker didn’t end up officially retiring, so it takes away from the photo a bit. Still, it goes to show you the emotions that some wrestlers go through after big matches.
