The wrestling world lost a legend on Sunday night as Bobby ‘the Brain’ Heenan passed away. Heenan is considered as one of the greatest managers and commentators in the history of the wrestling business. His death has saddened the wrestling world and we saw multiple tributes on social media from wrestlers of past and present.

Now that the dust has settled, we have some more information on his passing.
According to his obituary from the Tampa Bay Times, he passed away from organ failure brought on from throat cancer:
“Heenan was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2002 and has been in remission since 2004, said his daughter, Jessica Solt, but he died from organ failures brought on by the disease”
Heenan had battled throat cancer and various other health issues over the years.
