Cain Velasquez made his official WWE debut on last week’s episode of Smackdown. He ended up confronting Brock Lesnar, sending him retreating.
Cain was interviewed by ESPN about his debut on Smackdown. During the interview, he revealed that CM Punk gave him some advice prior to his first WWE appearance.
Here is what Punk told him (h/t to Fightful.com):
“He said, ‘As far as getting into it, you just gotta be a team player’ and ‘We’re all workingtogether as a company to better ourselves.
Come to the end of the day, it’s business as well. You just have to be okay with what you have and what you’re being compensated for in order to go out and perform.’ I think what I’m doing is fun as shit. I’m having a blast.”
Valasquez also revealed that he spoke to Travis Browne before his debut and Browne had nothing but good things to say about working with WWE.
