Cesaro was recently interviewed by the Baltimore Sun in order to promote Monday Night RAW. Cesaro spoke on a wide variety of topics, including his reaction when he found out that he would be wrestling Kurt Angle at TLC.
Cesaro also shared his reaction when his teeth went into his lip during the RAW Tag Team Title match at No Mercy.
It initially looked like Cesaro lost his two front teeth after hitting the ring-post hard. We later found out that it was much more gruesome and his teeth actually jammed into his lip.
Cesaro shared his initial reaction when it happened:
“Well, the first thing that went through my head was, “Ow, that really hurt.” There was a lot of blood. Then, the doctor came over and checked on me. I said that I was all right. He was ready to look for the teeth around the ring, but I had to tell him that no, they were in there, just up higher. That was not a pleasant experience”
He was also asked how he balances his emotions in a situation like that. Here was his response:
“I don’t have to do anything. Safety is always paramount at WWE. But, I knew that I was fine otherwise. It hurt like hell, but this was a tag-team title match. This was very important to me. I guess I’m just a tough cookie”
