Daniel Bryan Comments On Being A Part Of The WWE Cruiserweight Classic (As Announcer)
As we noted earlier in the day, Daniel Bryan will be a part of the upcoming WWE Cruiserweight Classic tournament as commentator alongside Mauro Ranallo. Even though we all wish he was competing himself, him announcing the thing is a pretty good consolation prize. He was recently interviewed at the WWE Performance Center about being a part of the tournament as an announcer.

Here were the highlights:
– He says the tournament is awesome. The concept of bringing in independent guys from all over the world is great.
-He says this gives us all a chance to see the best wrestlers in the world.
-He says it is super cool that it will be on the WWE Network and in front of a WWE crowd. This is a huge opportunity for the guys.
-He says the cruiserweight style makes people stand out.
-Kota Ibushi will knock people’s socks off.
-Zack Sabre Jr has a very British technical style.
-Drew Gulak has a very old-school style and not what you think of when you think of cruiserweights.

-The guy he wants to win is Brian Kendrick who is his friend and who he wrestled his first match against.
-He says he likes wrestling on the fringes. The fringes is where the exciting stuff happens. He says that guys like Cesaro and Seth Rollins came up with their styles by wrestling on the fringes. Which means where two different wrestling worlds and styles collide.
-Wrestling fans should expect stuff we have never seen before.
