Daniel Bryan Explains Smackdown LIVE’s Plan For A New Tag Team Title (VIDEO)

Talking Smack aired after Smackdown LIVE this week (and will continue to do so moving forward). The show is hosted by Renee Young and Smackdown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan. During one of the segments, Bryan and Renee caught up with American Alpha. The tag team just came off an impressive victory over The Vaudevillains for their main roster debuts. During the interview, Daniel Bryan explained Smackdown’s plan for the tag team division moving forward.

Bryan says the tag team titles are not currently on Smackdown and him and Shane are in the process of figuring out a way to implement new tag team belts for their brand. He says they don’t want to be like RAW and just name someone champions (taking a dig at the Universal title name in the process).

Bryan says they are figuring out a way to implement the belts but they are coming.

So tag team titles on Smackdown are confirmed just a matter of when. To me it kind of feels like they are going to do a tag team tournament for the new belts in the next couple weeks or maybe after Summerslam? Would be a pretty cool way to do it if you ask me!
