You might remember David Hart Smith from his time in the WWE as a member of the Hart Dynasty alongside Tyson Kidd and Natalya. You also might know him from New Japan Pro Wrestling and various promotions under his real name Harry Smith. He is the son of the British Bulldog and the nephew of Bret Hart. In a recent interview with Wrestlezone he was asked about his uncle Bret’s recent outspoken comments towards Triple H. Bret said that Triple H “couldn’t lace his F****** boots” after he found out he was rated lower than him in WWE 2k16.

Triple H was asked in a recent interview with ESPN about the comments to which he said he didn’t hear them. David Hart Smith called BS on that and also weighed in on the situation:
“To put it frankly… he’s full of s***. Of course he’s seen it or heard of it. What else is he going to say? He’s going to say something else that’s going to add more fire and of course Bret will get mad about it. It’s going to just explode in to flames. I am not the biggest fan of Triple H either but the comments might have been a bit harsh. At the same time, without using those exact words, Bret is in my opinion head and shoulders a better wrestler than Triple H. Better psychology. That’s for sure. I don’t think he should be so worked up about a video game rating. That’s just my opinion. I understand he’s probably upset about things in the past and he’s got every right to be” (Source: Wrestlezone).
I agree with him here on the fact that it is unlikely that Triple H hadn’t at least heard of these comments. He probably doesn’t want to say anything to get in a back and forth with Bret.

Oh, it’s very possible HHH didn’t hear the comments. There are times in my life when I’m too busy or distracted to keep up with news (wrestling or otherwise). I can only imagine how much more busy HHH is.
Hart is an icon, and definitely in the upper tier of all-time wrestlers. However, I think he’s taking a few things a bit too seriously. For instance, his “Best there is…” mantra, and how his stats rate in a video game.
