There have been a lot of rumors circulating about a potential WWE Women’s tournament. The tournament would be in a similar format to the WWE Cruiserweight Classic, which was highly successful. The idea would be to bring in the top women’s wrestlers from around the world to compete against one another.
According to PWInsider, the plans for the tournament right now are for early 2017. No exact dates have been finalized but the tournament would take place at Full Sail University (same place as the Cruiserweight Classic was taped).
Their report also states that WWE has reached out to a number of women about potentially competing in the WWE Women’s tournament. None of these ladies have signed a contract or anything but they are confirmed as to having interest in competing.

- Kimber Lee,
- Nixon Newell
- Cheree Crowley aka Evie
