The biggest story in WWE at the moment has to do with Enzo Amore and the sexual assault allegations against him. Enzo was suspended on Monday after the allegations came to light. He was released by WWE less than 24 hours later.

Many fans are wondering why WWE released him so quickly. Usually, the company waits for a conviction first in order to act.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com is reporting that Enzo was aware of the allegations but didn’t inform WWE until the news broke on Monday. He also has confirmed with multiple sources that WWE was “livid” that he didn’t inform them beforehand.
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Enzo not informing WWE about the investigation played a big factor in their decision to release him. Satin also says that Enzo was on thin ice with WWE based on some of his previous behavior backstage.
Satin cites WWE’s “moral clause”, which allows the company to terminate a contract before a person is convicted:
“WWE’s ability to fine, suspend or terminate a WWE talent will not be, however, limited or compromised in any manner in the event incontrovertible evidence of such illegal misconduct is presented to WWE. Section 9.13(a) of the WWE booking contract, commonly known as the “morals clause”, provides WWE with broad discretion and authority to act under such circumstances.”
Enzo has since released a public statement via his attorney, denying all allegations.
