Drew McIntyre appeared in the crowd at NXT Takeover Orlando. This is something that WWE likes to do in order to tease a future signing. This turned out to be immediately true as McIntyre confirmed his signing with NXT after the event.

McIntyre previously wrestled for WWE a few years ago. After leaving the company in 2014, he wrestled on the independent scene and TNA under the name Drew Galloway.
McIntyre was interviewed by ESPN after Takeover and said that the reason that he has signed with NXT is because he wants the NXT Title:
“Well the answer’s pretty simple. I’ve won championships all across the world, I’ve helped build brands. So what’s the next logical thing for me to do? It’s to come here and win the NXT title.”
He also made a definitive statement about his future:
“If that’s not clear enough for everybody, Drew McIntyre has signed with NXT,”

A great signing by WWE. Hopefully they are able to use him properly this time around.
