Former WWE Writer Shares What Vince McMahon Wouldn’t Let Them Call AJ Lee On TV

Former WWE writer Matt McCarthy shared an interesting tidbit about Vince McMahon on the We Watch Wrestling podcast.

Specifically, he shared what WWE writers were not allowed to call AJ Lee because Vince didn’t like it.

Here is what he said (h/t to Wrestlezone for the quote below):

“I was there when AJ was “crazy” and legit – and this was obviously before the TV show, the hit runaway musical comedy hit, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”, but that was her whole gimmick at the time. She was the crazy ex-girlfriend. Do you remember all this? But the goddamn thing with Vince was, “We can’t call her crazy.” That was a big no-no. Can’t use the word “crazy.” So if you go back and watch those tapes, they call her “unstable.” Just like Dean Ambrose”

Another interesting revelation about Vince.
