Dolph Ziggler interrupted the Miz TV segment with Shawn Michaels on this week’s episode of Smackdown Live. The segment saw Michaels and Ziggler exchange some words with one another. This led to Ziggler superkicking Michaels before being chased off by the Miz.
We have an interesting rumor to pass your way about Ziggler at Summerslam.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Ziggler will be on the Summerslam card.
While saying that, he isn’t currently scheduled to face either the Miz or Shawn Michaels. Here is what Meltzer wrote:
We’ve also confirmed that there will be a Dolph Ziggler match on the show, but we were told it would not be against either The Miz (even though TV certainly lead you in that direction) or Shawn Michaels, who is not wrestling on the show.
My Take: This is definitely a headscratcher for me. I wasn’t expecting Ziggler vs Michaels to happen but why not the Miz vs Ziggler? This has been teased by WWE for the past few weeks. Maybe they have something bigger in store for Ziggler, like a match against Triple H? We will have to wait and see but I am definitely intrigued by this one.
