James Ellsworth shocked the WWE Universe at TLC by turning on Dean Ambrose. During the main event, Ambrose was about to climb the ladder and win the WWE World Championship against AJ Styles. When Ambrose reached the top, Ellsworth pushed the ladder over, sending Ambrose crashing into some tables on the outside of the ring.

This allowed AJ Styles to climb the ladder and retain his title.
Ellsworth was a guest on Talking Smack after the show went off the air. During the interview he revealed why he turned on his buddy, Dean Ambrose.
Ellsworth says that it was the best strategy ever. He has defeated AJ Styles 3 times and now he gets his WWE World Title match against him. He says that he has his number and he is going to win the title.
He says that Ambrose would have done the same to him. When he wins the WWE World Title, he will give Ambrose the first shot.
Daniel Bryan says that Ambrose was the only reason why Ellsworth defeated Styles 3 times. Ellsworth disagrees and says that he has his number.
