One of the biggest rumors heading into Wrestlemania 33 was that John Cena would be proposing to Nikki Bella at Wrestlemania 33. Cena and Nikki teamed up to take on The Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag team match at the event. John Cena proposes after the match.

The theory was that Vince McMahon wouldn’t book Cena to be in a mixed tag team match unless there was some sort of big moment planned.
This turned out to be the case as fans saw Cena and Nikki win the match. They also saw the big moment: John Cena proposes to Nikki Bella in the middle of the ring:
