John Cena was recently interviewed by Sports Illustrated to promote his new movie: ‘The Wall’ that comes out this week. Cena spoke on a wide variety of topics about his acting and wrestling careers, including his proposal at Wrestlemania 33.

One of the most interesting parts of the interview was when he spoke about Roman Reigns and his claim that WWE is now his ‘Yard’.
Cena says that he is willing to concede the ‘yard’ to Reigns for the time being:
“Roman is in the trenches every night and he’s performing at an elite level with a champion caliber attitude. His performance and the response that he gets from certain audiences is indicative of an elite-level performer. He’s doing what I did in 2006, 2007, and 2008. He has all the justification in the world in saying it’s his yard”
He does tease a future match between the two one day:
“I’ve made a career of shutting the mouths of people who’ve made that claim that WWE was their yard. I very, very much look forward to the day we put that to the test.”
This goes hand-in-hand with WWE recently teasing the heck out of a John Cena vs Roman Reigns match.
