During the interview, Morrison cited being stifled creatively as one of the reasons why he left the WWE in 2011.
Morrison revealed a couple of the gimmick matches that he pitched for himself, but was ultimately rejected by WWE brass:
“That was one of the reasons I left (WWE) I was always having all these ideas… Like every week I’d pitch something like, ‘I want to have a tanning bed match with Sheamus, loser gets locked in a tanning bed”
He says that idea was rejected immediately. He also says that he wanted to have a Porta Potty match against the Miz. The idea would have been to tease the match the whole night and show different people using the Porta Potty:
“I want to have a Porta Potty match with the Miz, to win you have to close someone in the Porta Potty and knock it over. I pitched these. I pitched all these ideas”
He jokes that it makes sense why they couldn’t do them. Though, the tanning bed idea got all the way to Vince McMahon:
“I pitched the tanning bed idea to Vince and he laughed at it. I don’t know if he even thought I was serious. I wanted him (Sheamus) to come out looking like Brother Love covered in that red stuff”

As we know, these matches didn’t end up happening. I can’t help but wonder if any of these would have worked out.
