By now, you have likely heard the news of Shad Gaspard’s passing. Gaspard was swimming with his son but they got caught in a riptide. When rescuers came, he directed them to save his son first. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to save Shad.

JTG took to Twitter to share the final text message that Shad sent him. They spent several years together as the Cryme Tyme tag team in WWE.

Shad’s passing was confirmed on Wednesday after his body was discovered by lifeguards.
