June 20 2016 RAW Ratings Are In – Shows Large Increase

June 20 2016 RAW Ratings

The ratings for the June 20 2016 RAW have came in and they show a large increase! This was the first show after WWE Money in the Bank and the first show that featured Dean Ambrose as WWE Heavyweight Champion. The show was solid, featuring a WWE Women’s title match between Paige and Charlotte. It also featured a main event of Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins to determine the number one contender for Ambrose’s new belt.

The show averaged 3.47 million viewers which is up from the 2.96 that RAW did last week going head to head against the NBA finals.

Here is the 3 hour breakdown of the June 20 2016 RAW:

  • The first hour of RAW did 3.42 million viewers.
  • The second hour did 3.56 million viewers.
  • The third hour did 3.42 million viewers.

Some pretty great news for WWE fans who have seen ratings dip over the past couple weeks. RAW felt like it mattered yesterday with a Women’s title match and a number one contender main event and I think the ratings reflect that. I think these numbers are showing that if the WWE gives us a consistent and solid product, fans are going to keep watching. The numbers stayed strong heading into the third hour, which has been a problem for the WWE lately, suffering large 3rd hour dips.

Also encouraging news for fans of Dean Ambrose if they were worried he wouldn’t draw viewers as WWE Champ. He certainly has shows upcoming to prove to the WWE that he is a top draw but that is a pretty good start if you ask me.
