Kevin Owens Tells The Awesome Story Of John Cena Writing His Son A Letter

As many people know, Kevin Owens’ son is a huge fan of John Cena. Cena and Owens feuded when KO was first called up to the main roster over a year ago. On a recent appearance on Talk is Jericho, Owens tells an awesome John Cena story that further confirms that he is an awesome person.

Owens starts by saying that a couple of weeks before his main roster debut against Cena, he was at the WWE Performance Center. Cena was going to be there and told Owens to bring his son with him (since his son is a huge Cena fan).

Owens says that:

“John gave him a letter that he handwrote, I don’t even know if I’m suppose to say that, I don’t know if John would be a big fan of me telling this.  He handwrote a letter to my son that was two full pages”.  (Source: Talk is Jericho).

Owens tells the backstory of the letter, when him and Cena were preparing for a promo for RAW. Owens wanted to use a real life situation (to make the promo more personal) that happened to him at a WWE Live Event that he attended with his son. Owens and his son rushed the guard rail to try to shake Cena’s hand. Instead of celebrating with the fans like he usually does, Cena went straight to the back, leaving Owens’ son crushed. He said that Cena kept apologizing for that happening and that he felt horrible.

“The letter was John basically apologizing for that. It was crazy” (Source: Talk is Jericho).

Pretty great story and just goes to show how great of a guy Cena is.
