Kurt Angle was recently interviewed by the Gorilla Position podcast. during the interview he spoke on a wide variety of topics surrounding the WWE Hall of Fame. One of the more interesting parts of the interview was when he spoke about American Alpha.

American Alpha has been compared to Team Angle (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) since they made their debut as a tag team in NXT. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan are both very talented wrestlers that have been finding their footing on Smackdown Live’s roster.
Angle had some big praise for the young team:
“I love watching American Alpha…. They have such a gift”
He continued, noting the resemblance to the original Team Angle:

Our take: I think it would be a pretty cool thing to see them as a team. American Alpha have been great so far but their association with Angle would put them over the top. It would be pretty great to see them as a stable on Smackdown Live.
