Kurt Angle was recently interviewed by Washington’s Top News. During the interview he spoke on a variety of different topics about his Hall of Fame career and about the current WWE product. One of the highlights was when he was asked his thoughts on Roman Reigns.

Kurt says that he is a big fan of Roman but thinks the biggest issue with him is that he was pushed too fast by WWE:
“I love him. The issue with Roman is he was utilized and pushed way too fast. When you skip the U.S. Title, Intercontinental Title, the King of the Ring and go right to the top, fans don’t like that. … Half the fans love him; half the fans hate him”
He compares the situation to John Cena and says that Vince should turn him heel if the fans don’t accept him:
“Same with [John] Cena. When Cena came in, Vince pushed the hell out of him and fans were like, ‘Gosh, dang. This guy’s invincible. I hate him!’ … If Vince waits it out a bit, fans will start to accept [Roman Reigns], and if they don’t, then turn him heel. ”

Not a groundbreaking take by any means but certainly worth mentioning considering Angle’s new role with the company as RAW General Manager.
